Now this is a fun event! ... South Pass City at one time had 14 saloons so night life in SPC could be impressive. Our historic records show that the saloons ordered every kind of liquor for their patrons. Champagne to locally brewed beers was ready for a thirsty miner.
Paint the Town red opens one of our historic saloons & gives you a chance to sample cocktails from times past. We have partnered with Backwards Distillery & their extraordinary mixologist, Amber Pollack will serve up some libations from days past. While you sample a Corpse Reviver, you can relax to the extraordinary Low Water String Band.
The Event is a fundraiser for the Friends of South Pass who use the funds raised to support restoration & programs at South Pass City & the Carissa Mine. Attendees of Paint the Town Red will be members in the Friends of South Pass & enjoy all the bennies of the Friends including free admission to SPC, latest news, a discount in the gift shop & the knowledge that they helped keep South Pass City thriving into the 21st century.
